About my pet portrait paintings

I'm a full time portrait painter, working in my studio near Philadelphia, with my own unique style.  I think it's best described as expressive realism because I combine a spot on likeness with my own lively and cheerful style.

I like to know all about my subjects, so I can paint personality.  I specialize in working from a variety of photos, so no worries about a "perfect" photo.  

AND, I enjoy adding in meaningful extras, like toys, or a background that is special.  Even the family sailboat!
